Advantages of Human Resource Management (HRM) 

1) Assists in evaluation of HR Policies 
Human resource policies are continuing guidelines on the approach an organization intends to adopt in managing its people. It represents specific guidelines to HR managers on various matters concerning employment and state the intent of the organization on different aspects of HRM such as recruitment, promotion, compensation, training, selections etc. The premise of strategic HRM is that the company’s policies and procedures related to employees should fit into the organization’s broader strategic plan. Development of these links between HR and strategy helps organization to evaluate its current HR policies and to replace outdated or inefficient policies with ones that promote a better workplace environment and employee relations. 

2) Organizational Culture 
Human resource management helps the organization to influence it’s culture within a business. Establishing guidelines, procedures and company standards lets employees know and learn the behaviors that are acceptable in the workplace. Performance of an individual is dependent on the work atmosphere or culture that prevails in an organization. Let’s take a example, a organizational policy that states punctuality within a business that should be followed strictly. This helps employees to improve their time management skills. Let’s put another example, dress code within an organization. This could help prevention in fashion activity within a workplace.

It is the responsibility of HR department to develop planning for manpower. HR managers are concerned with the activity of hiring strategies for bringing in the right kind of people in their organization. After hiring, they also plan for the employee’s induction with a well laid out training and development plans for them.

Human resource management defines and improves team management within an organization. HRM also helps to foster a sense of team spirit in the workforce.

Training of employees is most essential approach for effective activities within an organization. Nearly all employees, including ones that are highly qualified and skilled, needs training at some stage due to the fact that different organization works differently. All organizational cultures, policies and procedures must be firmly conveyed to all the employees as part of their on-boarding process.

HR manager’s main role concerning performance management system is to define individual’s role. Human resource management acts as monitoring body in an organization. It monitors each and every activity around employees and attempts to organize the working environment. It monitors its progress toward achieving its stated goals and objectives in the strategic plan.

There is no any organization, where there is no conflict or disagreement between the employees. But to manage conflict is the responsibility of the HR manager. It is the role of HR department to act as a counselor and a mediator to manage the issues in an effective manner. The HR must take timely action, so that activity does not go out of control.

Human resource management helps to define laws relating to employees, salary, insurance and policies governing business. 

In summary, human resource management as its advantages helps in the increment of the ability to initiate, lead and evaluate different organizational projects by employees.
